In our third podcast episode, we discussed the energy behind words -a truly fascinating topic that keeps on giving! We were so lucky and blessed to be joined by the wonderful Tim Elliott, who has an immense amount of experience dealing with companies, marketing and essentially meaning-making when it comes to words, your story, and your brand. Below are some of the key elements we discussed...
THE ENERGY BEHIND WORDS
How do we use words when it comes to making meaning from our experiences and stories that we have and create about ourselves and the world we live in.
What does the role of intention and conscious awareness play and why do we ‘throw away words or phrases’ that might be harmful or derogatory in someway to ourselves or others.
How can we connect to our inner-knowing and become our own clear channels when it comes to communication? Are we experiencing this as a separate space from ourselves to which we aspire to reach? Or are we always connected? How are we experiencing tapping into a higher-intelligence or consciousness?
Why are some words thought of as bad, like for example the word ‘journey’ or ‘authentic’ - people might see this as cheesy or cliche. Do individual words have their own energy or frequency behind them, or can we create this by being a more conscious conduit for them to pass through?
Sibby referenced the book - The Way of the Fearless Writer by Beth Kempton. “Every now and then when we open our hearts to write and dissolve the walls that keep us blind to the great mystery we get a glimpse of it.”
The art of not knowing and doing it anyway. It’s the process that helps you work out the answers, trusting your inner knowing - unlearning what you thought you ‘had’ to do. Within stillness, without agenda in a being state - time becomes less linear. Tim talks about Kronos time (how we currently measure time with clocks). When it was invented in Ancient Greece there were 2 types of times - Kairos (the opportune moment - the right time to do it). Do we now associate that with divine timing? Are we just human-doings and not human-beings?
Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto did experiments on the effect that words have on energy in the 1990’s. The results he produced demonstrated how the energy generated by positive or negative words, can actually change the molecular structure of an object (he mostly tested food and water).
